The Sower
At the base of a hill, at the base of a hill,
I tilled the soil with a plowman's skill,
And planted the seed of my guile and greed.
I let it sprout in the summer sun.
From the top of the hill, from the top of the hill,
I learned that my crop was a worthless weed,
Would that the summer had not begun! |
